In an eclipsing binary, the brightness is observed to drop by 1 percent when the brighter star eclipses the fainter one and by 10 percent when the fainter star eclipses the brighter one. If the stars lie on the main sequence and their radii follow law R is proportional to M, what is the ratio of the smaller mass to the larger one?
