Does anyone know how to activate the eclipse in shangra la in split screen? Please reply thank you!?

I was looking at YouTube videos saying that you must have 4 players to activate the eclipse. My Internet is not working so I can not have four players. Is it possible to activate it with just 1 or 2 people?
